So last month my Physics teacher demonstrated sound waves using fire and Bohemian Rhapsody. The song is played into a tube filled with gas, and the sound waves cause the gas to compress, changing the height of the flames (I think that was how he explained it anyways)
If the students learned nothing was from this lesson, they will remember that science is awesome.
The Sheldon cooper cutout looks sinister standing in front of flames in a poorly lit room
I really wanted to finish this last night, but I was way too sleepy and had no confidence that I wouldn’t ruin it lol SO DEMON CROWS!~
For my Beast Within AU. This will be part one, because there are more crows so I need to draw all of them, right? Color schemes may be adjusted, but for the most part I like what I’ve come up with. Updates for the AU are really slow, I am so sorry. But, like, it’s hard to get anything done when you have way too many ideas swimming around in your head and not enough time to do all of them.
Tried the google translate app to see how well it works for manga
first, an easy speech.

tapping the square at the bottom translates everything that the app recognized in the pic. Result:

Wtf? Where did the -G come from? Answer: from the f-ing ear. Also, translation makes no sense. let’s remove the ear translation (you can do that manually, which is cool):

yeeeaahhh… wonky, but at least it makes sense.
Let’s try something more difficult, a commonly seen dialect:

Hm?

Google, what did you see?!

^ after a bit of finagling around… still not really exactly it, but passable.
Conclusion:
It’s google translate, what did you expect? basic Japanese knowledge needed to figure the inbetween stuff out. It failed at the first minor obstacle. it’s annoying having to remove recognized but non existent words and letters.
Overall it’s like getting handfull of MMs instead of a full course meal. quick, easy, usable if you know how the language works and just need a reminder of a kanji or smth.
Just… don’t trust it.
