I’m so sad :( I love bees and want to learn to keep them but i’m allergic to stings

thebeeblogger:

You can still keep bees without touching them! There are things called bee hotels for native solitary (meaning alone) bees. They require no human care apart from taking it in during the cold months (and when you do the bees won’t fly out or anything). Most solitary bees that live here don’t sting too! You can find a link to this info here. I have one and it is beautiful!!

Here and here’s a link to an ask about other things you can put in your yard to help save the bees such as bee baths if you’d like to do that too.

And here is a list of bee friendly flowers & other bee saving things.

fun fact: there is a goddess of friendship in ancient greece named philotes

extra fun fact: she is a daughter of nyx, whose other children are such lovely people as thanatos (god of death), momus (god of mockery), oizys (goddess of misery and depression), nemesis (goddess of retribution), apate (goddess of deceit), and eris (goddess of strife)
