
These are from an old sketchbook (I find them everywhere since I’ve always been leaving them everywhere…). And maybe it’s hard to believe but between the attempts not even a day went by. It’s not that I magically got better for a brief moment… it’s more that I used to force my ideas to work (anatomy be damned), even when there was no way in hell they’d do. I’d end up frustrated with myself and everything around me, just because I didn’t want to waste time and pages for a fresh start.
So, here’s a reminder to myself:
When an idea just doesn’t work – scratch it, concentrate on the feel you want the (blank) page to give off, attempt again. You’re not failing, just experimenting.
