ATTENTION ARTISTS: Need help calculating your commission prices?

A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.

No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.

Between work refusing to give me more hours (and some weeks, no hours) and my student support not paying me until I get my thesis proposal accepted (hopefully) late this month and my job searching for a new job going Very Badly, I am basically at the end of what I can afford. So I’m opening and boosting these again despite needing to do my proposal because it’s the last resort I have.

Hey! I’m opening commissions for a while. These are the prices 🙂 There are 4 open slots for commissions and I will open them again after I finish with them.

I won’t draw:

All drawings will be done on an 82 lb A4 sheet. I use Copic ink pens and Copic markers for the colouring, your choice. I will send a sketch digitally for you to check if you want any changes made. If you want the original piece and are willing to pay for shipping, I will be glad to send it to you.

So my pain continues. What was supposed to be two months maximum off work with my knee operation has grown more desperate. Despite being able to return to work, work has no hours for me until March. On top of that, the company I do freelance writing through is having issues with my account not logging me in for three weeks with no word of when it will be fixed. I’ve also reached the end of my savings and drained pretty much every account and my credit card.

Upside… I have plenty of time to write?
