I keep telling people Texas has its own pledge right after the US pledge

Yep, it’s a thing. Personally, I don’t like either pledge, cause it’s kinda creepy to make lil kids pledge their loyalty to a symbol like that, and it makes it hard to have conversations about the good of the country when they grow up thinkin that any kind of criticism is automatically unpatriotic. Also, that one “under God” line in the Texas pledge did not used to be there when I was in school. First time I heard that when I started workin for the school system I was quite honestly more than a bit weirded out. But, it is how it is, I guess

I do like the Texas pledge better though
